Our idea for all our trips is to combine good food and wine with other aspects of Spanish Culture. As the area around Xativa is steeped in history we include several visits to historical buildings or monuments in most of our tours. Fortunately these monuments/remains are in beautiful natural settings that make visiting them fascinating from a nature lovers point of view as well as an historical one. A good example of this is one of our Walking holidays in Spain: The Iberos(Iberians) Tour which offers a delightful combination of history, nature and walking with some excellent food and wine. There is more walking than on the other trips and an interesting historical slant with visits to two fascinating remains of "pueblos iberos" which are Iberian fortified towns dated around 400 BC. The "Iberos" were warrior tribes that inhabited southern Spain before the Romans invaded. This tour offers the possibility of seeing wildlife, especially birds of prey.
