Booking conditions

Any contract between you (the customer) and The Spanish Thyme Traveller SL is subject to the following Booking Conditions:
Minimum number of people per tour:
Our tours are based on having a minimum number of eight people. We reserve the right to cancel tours if this minimum is not achieved. If a tour is cancelled and we notify you in writing or by email up to 60 days before the start date of the tour then The Spanish Thyme Traveller SL will not be liable to pay you any compensation.

Your Booking, Deposit and Payment:

In order to reserve a tour a deposit of 250 Euros per person is necessary. Once we receive your reservation and deposit, it will be confirmed in writing by us and the balance of the tour cost is due 60 days before the journey begins. If the balance is not paid by that date The Spanish Thyme Traveller SL reserves the right to treat your reservation as fully cancelled by you and to apply any cancellation fees. Once we have confirmed your reservation in writing a contract exists between you and The Spanish Thyme Traveller SL. If for some reason the holiday is unavailable your deposit/payment will be refunded. To avoid this situation it is best to contact us before making your reservation to check availability. We can accept provisional bookings for a short mutually agreed period.

To Cancel a Booking:

If you need to cancel a booking you must inform us in writing as soon as possible. If you cancel up to 55 days before the date of the tour you forfeit your deposit or you can transfer it to another one of our trips for a different date. If you cancel between 54 days to 28 days before the departure date there is a cancellation charge of 60% of the full journey price and between 27 days and 10 days there is cancellation charge of 90%.Then between 9 days and departure the charge would be 100% of the full journey price. These charges are calculated from the date written notice of cancellation is received. You can transfer your reservation to a third party if they are suitable for the type of holiday booked (e.g. on The Iberos holiday they must be physically capable of walking 4 hours a day over mixed terrain).Such a transfer must be advised and agreed with The Spanish Thyme Traveller SL at least 14 days before date of departure and any additional costs assumed by you.

If We Cancel or Modify a trip:

In the unlikely event of a trip needing to be cancelled up to 60 days before departure date a full refund of your payment (including deposit) will be paid to you. We regret we cannot accept liability for costs you might have incurred such as non-refundable train/plane tickets. If The Spanish Thyme Traveller SL cancels a journey because of not reaching the minimum number of people needed on the trip and advises you in writing up to 60 days before the start date it is not then liable to pay compensation.
Modifications to trips: Whilst we endeavour not to change the holiday arrangements that have been confirmed, owing to various factors you need to allow for possible changes to the programmed activities or routes, owing to unpredictable factors like weather, such as closure of monuments or paths and supplier availability. The changes to the holiday programme will always incorporate activities/routes of an equal quality. If we cannot make the changes without changing the nature of the holiday we will offer you a refund or an alternative date/trip if available.


We do not include insurance in our holiday prices and there for you must take out appropriate travel insurance according to the holiday booked. When booking we will require you to confirm you are aware you have to purchase appropriate insurance.

Health and Safety

The Spanish Thyme Traveller SL organizes its trips with health and safety in mind in order to make your trip safe and comfortable and strives to ensure that everyone in each group enjoys the trip to the full. In the description of each trip it states clearly the physical requirements needed to complete the trip. So when you make your booking you should fully understand what kind of fitness or physical requirement are needed for the trip you choose. This is crucial for the enjoyment of your trip.
If however The Spanish Thyme Traveller SL believes anyone in the group is unfit to participate for medical or antisocial reasons or puts the safety or enjoyment of other members of the group at risk, the company reserves the right to curtail their participation.

Included in your holiday:

- All your accommodation.
- Transport to and from pick up point and during the week for hotel transfers and specific excursions.
- All meals and wine included except where not detailed in holiday description.
- Entrance fees, English-speaking guides.

Not included in your holiday:

- Air or train fares.
- Extras (drinks, room service, any hotel extras).
- Insurance.

Logistical organization.....Pick Up/Drop Off Point:

All our trips start and finish at a pick up /drop off point in Valencia capital.
There will be a prearranged meeting time at this point at the start of the trip and you will have to get to the meeting point at the stated time (either from your hotel, or arriving by plane/train). If you arrive late you will miss the pick up and have to make arrangements for transport at your own cost. If you so wish you can get to the starting point of the tour (Xativa or Bocairent) on your own but you need to communicate this to us in advance.
At the end of the trip you will be dropped off at the prearranged drop off point and time.
