Fancy discovering the world of cava in Valencia? This weekend break takes you on a unique cava tasting experience where you will not only be able to try Valencia's sumptuous local food but you will aslo be able to visit a couple of the best wineries producing cava in this increasingly popular and "cool" region. Sunshine, great food, bubbles and Valencia! A city with a great nightlife, it is also capital to a region that produces some very special and outstanding wines. Amongst these wines, cava has become the latest and very fashionable addition. This trip will familiarise you with different styles of cava, how it is made and why it is called cava. This is the programme for the three day visit :

Day 1- Lunch at a recommended restaurant in the city centre or at the beach, where you can try one of the famous Valencian paellas but don't eat too much because in the evening you will be having tapas and cava at tapas bar in the centre of the city.
Day 2- We will visit two quite different wineries and learn all about the magnificent Spanish bubbly, cava, and, of course taste different types. The visits take place outside of the city in a region called Requena. Each winery has its unique character making the visits fun, interesting and informative.Once we have enjoyed tasting the wines we will then have a typical rustic outdoor paella at one of the bodegas (wineries). We return to Valencia late afternoon, leaving you time to further explore the city centre and choose from our recommendations somewhere interesting for dinner.
Day 3- Depart

You will stay in a perfectly situated boutique hotel in the centre of the city and will have time to visit this fun city which is a mix of old and new.Whether it be the historical centre of the city or the modernistic City of the Arts and Science Museum,Valencia is city of contrasts. On the one hand a maritime port and on the other capital of a fertile land, It offers a window into the typical Mediterranean lifestyle of the Spanish: amazing food, nightlife and relaxation.
The Valencia Cava Weekend is a great way to have a fun weekend in one of Spain's liveliest and fun cities. Great food, the best cava and loads of fun.
You'll learn all about why Valencian cavas have become so popular amongst food and wine lovers worldwide. Sunshine and cava....sounds like a great combination, doesn't it?

For the activities you will be accompanied by either Patrick(a Brit who has lived in Valencia for over 20 years) or Julia(who is Spanish and speaks excellent English) .They have great local knowledge and will ensure you enjoy your cava experience.

This is a great  way to get to know the city of Valencia and its local products and dishes. The wine-tasting is informal and fun. In fact, the whole trip is a mixture of fun, relaxation and enjoying the food and wine from Valencia.
